Dear Morfollower,
Recent political shifts may seem like setbacks for those committed to a sustainable future. Similarly, the outcomes of COP29 fall short of the bold ambition our planet urgently needs. These are undeniably challenging times for our collective mission—but history reminds us that adversity often ignites meaningful change.
In this edition of MORFO's newsletter, we want to emphasize that every obstacle presents an opportunity to move forward. At MORFO, we believe our focus shouldn’t be on convincing those who deny the reality of climate change. Instead, it should be on uniting the individuals, organizations, and communities already committed to making a positive impact. When we prioritize collaboration over division, we unlock extraordinary potential.
By aligning our visions, embracing compromise, and taking bold steps, we achieve breakthroughs that drive real change. Regardless of what others may think, we already have the strength in numbers and the determination required to make a significant impact. In this newsletter, you’ll find inspiring stories that showcase the power of coming together to create lasting solutions.
Let’s focus on what we can achieve—side by side.

🌱 A new high-quality carbon project with Future Climate
Two weeks ago, our colleagues Pedro and Artur were at Fazenda do Jacarandás, a Mata Atlântica area in São Paulo, to launch a new ARR (short for Afforestation, Reforestation, and Restoration) project with Future Climate Group. The project will eventually expand to cover 1,100 hectares as part of the larger Rio Preto initiative. In this partnership, Future Climate contributes expertise in carbon project development and compliance. MORFO brings cutting-edge reforestation strategy and technology, including seed encapsulation, drone-based planting, and long-term monitoring.
👏 Yes, we can!

The results are very promising. Forest restoration at scale in tropical areas is now a reality.
